My world feels heavy and I can’t not bring myself to keep moving forward.
I go outside to look at the trees and take off my shoes so I can feel the earth.
“Jesus Have Mercy on Me.” I pray as my feet connect with the soil.
Looking around I notice some birds attempting to claim my leftover lunch, that missed my mouth when eating earlier.
The breeze blows through my hair providing some relief from the heat.
“Jesus Have Mercy on Me.” I pray again as I continue to centre myself.
The world seems a little bit lighter and I feel I can take the next step.
One step at a time seems to make life more manageable and less heavy.
“Jesus Have Mercy on Me.” I say as I got back inside.
